My computer died. I bought a new computer with Vista. I use Quickbooks 2004. It is not compatible with Vista. I could buy Quickbooks 2007 or later but that costs a bit. I ran across something called Microsoft Virtual Machine. If I understand it correctly, it loads onto the Vista computer but acts as if it is some other system, say XP. Am I right in thinking that I could use Virtual Machine (which is free as I understand it) and run Quickbooks 2004 on my Vista computer?

This is way over my head!
