My laptop died so I have to buy a new one. It'll have Vista Home. I'm moving from XP Home. What should I expect? Should I be able to start-up and use it immediately? Is anything that different from XP to Vista?

I have Office 2003. Can I install it on the Vista computer?

You will be able to start up and use vista immediately from turning on your computer.
Outlook 2003 is also compatible with vista aswell.

Depending on your usage as to whether you'll see any differences (apart from themes etc) google is probably best to have a look here.

Home Basic is cheaper, Home Premium has some extras that you may want.
