A friend brought his Quantum mid tower to me. the PC doesn't display any thing on the Monitor during POST it beeps three times and then repeat the same beeps over and over.
the beeps are 2 single beeps and 1 long peep then it repeats again
it goes like this; ti. ti. tiiiiiii, ti. ti. tiiiiii, ti. ti. tiiiii, ~. The make up of the motherboard is MERCURY PVCLE266M-L
any one with an Idea please!
Your motherboard has an AMI bios and according to their site there is no 2 short one long. It could be an old bios version or the beeps are actually 3 short which means bad memory. Try different memory sticks or try switching them around if you have more than one dimm.
I would try different Memory if you can. If not try removing all of the components except the processor, Memory and video card (if its not built into the motherboard). See if the computer will POST then, if you can't get it to post with only those three I would change out the motherboard next.
