laptop will not power up

tried searching for this, but just keep getting an error. my fujitsu laptop of only 18mths old, has today decided not to switch on for some reason. the last time i used it was friday night, and it was running ok. this morning however, it will not power up at all, and even the power/charging LED on the front does not light up when i plug it in. does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be?

First thing to check is the power source (outlet) then the adapter. You would need a volt meter to do this. Then the DC jack where the power adapter plugs into

removed battery and then put it back. laptop then powered up. strange. thanks anyway.
