ProgramC:/....

Is this an exact quote from the error message, or is there some information missing where the .....'s are?

Have you checked your Event Viewer for errors? To do this, go to Start and type in "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter.
Click to expand the Windows logs section, then click on the Application and the System log files - check for error messages around the time that you got the error message on the PC.

Usasma, Itried the action you suggested and I couldn't go to log of error instead got following error mesg.

MMC can not open the file C:\windows/system32\evenvwr.msc.
This may be because file does not exist, is not a MMCconsole, or was created by a later version of MMC.
This may also be because you do not have sufficient access rights to the file.

Not sure what to do.

Is the evenvwr.msc in your post a typo? If not, then that's probably the reason (use evenTvwr.msc).

If not, try Start...Control Panel (Classic View)...Administrative Tools...Event Viewer

I'd suggest first scanning for viruses with an independent scanner (in case your protection has been compromised. Links to free, online scanners here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/blogs/usas...?showentry=1252

After that (if you're not infected), then I'd try running "SFC.EXE /SCANNOW" (without the quotes) from the Start dialog.
