Hi,

A number of my anti-virus and anti-spyware programs detected the above trojan, Spybot claimed to have removed it and Windows Defender but clearly there is stuff remaining as I keep getting constant pop-ups such as Firefox has stopped working when it is working fine etc. I am on Windows Vista. I have already followed the instructions precisely on the how to remove virtumonde page, but strangely, vundofix did not find anything and neither did virtumondebegone. I have several Net Command processes in the Task Manager, which was one of the clues that I knew something was up. The performance of my laptop was also severely degraded although it seems to be working at a good speed now. So I made a HijackThis log (incidentally, there were a couple of errors during the scan, and I'm not sure why, couldn't find an answer for this):

Thanks kahdah!

Please find attached the results of the scan. I had to split it in to two files as it was too large to be attached in one ilfe. I hope I cut it and pasted it ok, I tried to make sure it didn't overlap in the 2nd bit, but if anything has been deleted from the log accidentally let me know although I think it's fine.

EDIT: It's not letting me attach it even in two separate files because of the upload limit, what should I do?

Open the OTScanIt folder and double-click on OTScanIt.exe to start the program (if you are running on Vista then right-click the program and choose Run as Administrator).
Copy/Paste the information in the codebox below into the pane where it says "Paste fix here" and then click the Run Fix button.

[Registry - Non-Microsoft Only]
< Run [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\] > -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
YN -> d05c2993 -> %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Temp\fyllrhjx.DLL [rundll32.exe "C:\Users\Jon\AppData\Local\Temp\fyllrhjx.dll",b]
YN -> MSServer -> %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Temp\awtSjIYP.DLL [rundll32.exe C:\Users\Jon\AppData\Local\Temp\awtSjIYP.dll,#1]
[Files/Folders - Modified Within 30 days]
NY -> At1.job -> %SystemRoot%\tasks\At1.job
NY -> At2.job -> %SystemRoot%\tasks\At2.job
[File - Lop Check: Additional Folder Scans - Non-Microsoft Only]
NY -> At1.job -> C:\Windows\Tasks\At1.job
NY -> At2.job -> C:\Windows\Tasks\At2.job
[Empty Temp Folders]

The fix should only take a very short time. When the fix is completed either a message box will popup telling you that it is finished or you will be asked to reboot to finish the fix. If it is finished, click the Ok button and Notepad will open with a log of actions taken during the fix. Post that information back here.
If a reboot is required, click the "Yes" button to reboot the machine. After the reboot, OTScanIt will finish moving any files that could not be moved during the fix and NotePad will open with the final results at that time. Post that information back here.
I will review the information when it comes back in.
Also let me know of any problems you encountered performing the steps above or any continuing problems you are still having with the computer.

Here is the 1st log, which was completed after reboot. As for problems that are still remaining, on reboot the Spybot resident alerted me to changes in App.exe and a rundll32 and I permitted both. I believe that these things are connected to the virus. There are still numerous Net Commands in the Task manager. Also, I got the "Firefox has stopped working" messages constantly again.

Hi using craked software is illegal and usually the files that are cracked have trojans in them.
In this case it appears to be where you were infected from.
================================
  • Please double-click OTMoveIt3.exe to run it. (Note: If you are running on Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator).
  • Copy the lines in the codebox below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):

    :files
    C:\Program Files\EA Sports\EA SPORTS online
    C:\Users\Jon\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\Report0e799cac\Report.cab
    C:\Users\Jon\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\Report0e79a811\Report.cab
    C:\Users\Jon\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\Report0e79c966\Report.cab
    C:\Users\Jon\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\Report0e7a5eb2\Report.cab
    C:\Users\Jon\Desktop\M64K_079.rar
    C:\Users\Jon\Documents\M64K_079\Mupen64K 0.7.9\kailleraclient.dll
    C:\Users\Jon\Downloads\FIFA 09 Play.Online-Crack
  • Return to OTMoveIt3, right click in the "Paste Instructions for Items to be Moved" window (under the yellow bar) and choose Paste.
  • Click the red Moveit! button.
  • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar) to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy), and paste it in your next reply.
  • Close OTMoveIt3
Note: If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes. In this case, after the reboot, open Notepad (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Notepad), click File->Open, in the File Name box enter *.log and press the Enter key, navigate to the C:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles folder, and open the newest .log file present, and copy/paste the contents of that document back here in your next post.
===================================
Post one more Hijackthis log and the OT Move it log and we will wrap it up.
Also let me know how things are running?
Please do not pm for help, post it in the forums instead.
