I'm facing this weird problem. I have AVG free edition installed, and recently the email scanner notification pops up every now and then when I have no email client application started. I check the logs of the email scanner and I keep the same few lines repeating over and over.

1.11.2008 01:38:17 AutoPOP3(10110): Client disconnected
1.11.2008 01:40:27 AutoPOP3(10110): Connection from process 5744

1.11.2008 01:40:50 AutoPOP3(10110): Cannot connect to host-41-196-215-168.static.link.com.eg:110
1.11.2008 01:40:50 AutoPOP3(10110): Connect: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. (10060)

Am I infected with something?

Not sure, have you run any anti-virus scans?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

I ran AVG scan, spybot scans. Just some tracking cookies. But the email scanner thing still pops up.
