The biggest I can fit is a 22 inch, so I have been doing a lot of 22-inch LCD monitor research lately. I have narrowed it down to these two monitors that I think would fit me best:

-LG L227WTG (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3986513&CatId=2775)

-Samsung Touch of Color T220HD (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3920261&CatId=3648)

What I will mostly be using my computer for is gaming (PC and consoles if possible), watching DVDs, Photoshop, and basic web surfing.

I thought that both of these monitors were really nice, but they both have distinct advantages over the other. The LG has a 2 ms response time, compared to the 5 ms response time of the Samsung. The Samsung, though, can be used as an HDTV, allowing me to connect any of my gaming systems to it at ease.

Here are my specs:
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate (x64) Service Pack 1 (build 6001)
CPU: 2.67 GHz Intel Core2 Quad Q6700
HD: 500.11 GB
RAM: 4094 MB
Video Cards: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+ (2x installed; SLi enabled)
Sound Card: Creative SB X-Fi

Will the 2 ms response time of the LG make that much of a difference in gaming and DVD performance in comparison to the Samsung's 5 ms? Are their any other 22-inch LCDs that I should consider over these two?

Thanks.

You can save yourself %40 by geting the LG monitor at New Egg instead of Tiger Direct.

The Samsung is not any cheaper at New Egg, unless you can deal with an Open Box.

How about this one?

That gets some good reviews.

Good luck and happy shopping.
