Hello everybody. We have 12 computers running XP – Pro and we are wanting to have a program called VSI-Fax to be started upon booting. It works on some of the computers and some it doesn’t. I have put it in the Startup directory and also dragged it in the startup on msconfig startup tab. It works for the next restart but after that it goes away. Any thoughts?

Might be worth a shot, but try right clicking on Startup & choose Open All Users & put it in there.

hillbillygreek's solution will almost certainly work. If you have a number of different users, startup items can get confusing. Look under documents and settings and you will find all the users listed. Any program that you want to run for a specific user can be put under that user's name in the programs folder which is in the start up folder. E.G. C:\Documents and Settings\JIM\Start Menu\Programs. This only works if users have to log on to their own acount. Otherwise stick to allusers.
