I've been having this problem since I got my computer. Occasionally, while playing Call of Duty or World of Warcraft my screen will freeze then turn black over the course of 40+ seconds. I receive a pop up in my system tray when I close telling me "nvlddmkm driver stopped working". I've tried resolving the issue in the past, mostly by trying to update my graphics driver but it tells me I have the latest driver installed. This happens to many people from what I've read on the net but I haven't found a permanent fix myself.
I'm running a Vista 32-Bit OS on a Dell Inspiron 1720 Laptop.

Most posts that I've seen about this issue (one here: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=38941 ) suggest a complete removal of the nVidia drivers.

At a minimum, I'd definitely uninstall the drivers, then search for instances of the nvlddmkm files and delete them before reinstalling the latest WHQL certified drivers.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
