My freidn has a brand new vista desktop, it finds the wireless fine (3 bars of signal) and connects to the router, and sometimes will connect to the internet, but when it does the net is very slow and only seems to last for a short time, other times it will only connect local only (no internet) and sometimes it wont connect to the router at all. The network in the house is fine as he has an xp desktop and a vista home premium laptop that connect fine.

Is vista home premium. I have read alot about this problem on many forums but not seemed to get anywhere, setting static IP, dissabling IPv6 etc. So i thought i would consult the best!

any help greatfully recieved!!
