Hi Ozi

If you regularly use cleanup tools to to clean up "temp files, history, cookies and other unwanted
stuff" that accumulates on your computer. That might be the reason.

A lot of cleanup tools will also clean out the "Downloaded Program Files" folder.
Thats where the Flash player files reside, causing you to have to reinstall after a cleanup.

If I can offer... AVG, Spybot and Adaware is a good combination of programs to run for basic defence. I don't know if they're BC's favorites, but they're what I install when I'm trying to give someone virus protection that's also user-friendly. ZoneAlarm, however basic, seems to be a pretty good firewall... But it's also a free firewall.

Caveat emptor, but these are my most basic preferences when replacing things like Norton on someone's system.
