Seems last night I cought some sort of virus which reconfigured my windows startup settings. Now after I open windows, I have no sounds, cant use my printer ect. Control panel shows that the appropriate devices are installed and "working" but for example in sound settings it shows "no devices present" and claims that no printers have been installed.

Last night my registry monitoring program started popping up infoboxes that a load of different legit windows startupsettings have been "installed" infact reinstalled cause they have always been there, and that I should confirm if those startups are to be allowed. At that time I did not allow them due to the fact I hadnt changed any settings myself. The next time I started windows the above problems occured. I changed the earlier startup-settings (example windows plug&play settings ect.) from (now) disabled to Automatic. No effect.

Anything I can do except reinstall windows? Thanks for the help in advance!
