hi,
i have an annoying problem trying to get rid of 'New.Net.
Spybot tells me that i have 2 user settings:
HKEY.USERS\S-1-5-18\software\new.net
HKEY.USERS\DEFAULT\software\new.net
spybot just can't get rid of these, i've also tried using 'Grinlers' advise in the Spyware & Malware Self-Help & Reading Room.
i've also downloaded the uninstall program and ran that!! still nothing, it's still there!!!
Anybody any ideas
Also.... exactly what is this threat??

Hi. Please download and install the program Registry Lite from here:

http://www.resplendence.com/reglite

Once it is installed, please double click on the icon that should now be on your desktop. If an icon is not there, then check under programs portion of the Start Menu.

Once it is opened, copy and paste the below line, into the address field of Registrar Lite.

HKEY.USERS\S-1-5-18\software\new.net

And press enter. You will now be presented with new information in the bottom right and left sections and on the right section.

Right click on new.net and delete it.

Now do the same for this key. Go to this key:

HKEY.USERS\DEFAULT\software\new.net

right click on new.net and delete it.

Hi Lawrence
Follwed your instructions and then ran 'spybot' again, no sign of 'new.net'
Thanks for taking the time to sort out my problem
