Hi all
I've got my mates laptop and I can seem to be able to fix it. Theres 2 problems, 1st is that half the time the thing doesnt even start so i think theres a motherboad problem or power supply, but when it does start, it gets to the log in screen and the computer slows right down ( mouse has huge amounts of lag ) and then about 5 seconds later it freezes. and then I have to rip the battery out coz it wont shutdown by holding down the button. I can start and log in into safe mode with no problems, so when I did that I scaned for spyware and use Panda security to scan for virus's online ( which ive used many times in the past and works great ) but that didnt find much, just cookies and 2 bits of adware. I ran msconfig and disabled all start up programs but problem still persists. Can anyone help out??? this ones got me completly beat
