Windows doesn't load

The same thing happenend to me this morning. So is the computer is toast? What about the files, music, photo's, etc. Can they be saved?

Please let us know the symptoms and what led up to this event.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

I have been battleing spyware and malware, xp sypware 2009 and antimalware 2009, for the past week. and have been using malwarebyte and spybot, with some success. And now this morning it just boots up to the login screen, i then click on my name, then it displays the background pic, then reboots. BTW I have windows XP pro. Thanks in advance for any help. This site is amazing.

Can you get into Safe Mode? You can do this by pressing F8 just before the Windows splash screen shows up.

I can get into the screen where I can select between safe mode, safe mode with networking,safe mode with command prompt.
