Ok. I have a PCI-E 16x (v 1.0) video card. Will I be able to use this video card in a motherboard that has PCI-E 16x (v 2.0). I read somewhere that you can use a v 2.0 video card in a v 1.0 slot but it will halve the speed but I do not know if it's forward compatible also.

It will work, but only at the bus speed of the 1.0.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
