I've been looking for a new AV program since AVG has been getting on my nerves lately. I just switched to Kaspersky from AVG and Kaspersky found 2 viruses that AVG overlooked...

While I don't like the new AVG as well as the old one, I still use it, since it has always kept my computer secure (and the price is right!). Oddly enough, when I do an on-line scan at different sites, they have never found something that AVG missed.

John

I feel the same way as John. Although I don't like the newest version very much it still does what it needs to do. I have never had anything slip by AVG as far as I know.. and it updates all the time and like John says. The price is right.

Personally I've never liked Norton...

-Consumes too much system resources
-Slows down my machine
-Doesn't target the viruses that Kaspersky, Sophos, AVG are capable of
-Updates usually come every other day (AVG, and Kaspersky is like everyday)

Sophos Anti-Virus
AVG Anti-Virus
Symantec Norton

I have used Sophos AV for sometime now and it has saved my butt several times. It is very user friendly and easy to customize.
