Here's my dilemma....

I have a few shortcuts on my desktops for sites i often visit (Forums, game sites, flash sites, etc.). I used the "Create New Shortcut" feature, and typed in the address, blah blah blah.

The thing is, these shortcuts open with IE, not Firefox. I can't set Firefox to my default internet program, since my mom only uses IE, and i can't get her to switch.

My question is: Is there a way to open shortcuts from the desktop with Firefox everytime i click on them?

I don't think there is a way to change it unless you make your own user and set firfox as your defualt browser. What OS are you running?

I'm using XP sp2, but everytime i try to set my default internet service to Firefox, it also changes the other S/n.

I have my own windows s/n, decked out with customization, but i can't touch the default internet service for some reason. I have no idea why.

The reason why you can't access the internet settings is because you do't have the admin. account set as you. The other user probably has it.

Nah, i have admin. I'm the only one literate with computers in my house, so i do all the maintance, troubleshooting, fixing (mostly breaking), etc.

i CAN access the internet defaults and junk, but if i change them, it changes for the other s/n too. I only want it changed for MY windows s/n, noone else's.
