I didn't know that I have to delete Firefox everytime that there is an update. So I would like to set it up so that I do not lose my extensions & plug-ins and whatever settings I have stored. Some things I do not understand. I have read on the support pages @ mozilla.org that I have to create a profile also create the following files.[user.js, userChrome & userContent.css] I have created a profile and the abovementioned files. Now in profiles folder I have one folder[u93wcjw2.default] and three files[user.js, userChrome-owner.css & userContent-owner.css] Is this right and what is the next step before add extensions and plug-ins. How do I back this up so I don't lose anything in the update? It would be helpful if a knowlegdable person could do a simple tutorial on this. Please direct me to the relevent page if it already exists. Thanks

Hi 10rand. Here is a link I found in the Firefox support forum for you.

It tells how to do a clean install of Firfox. I hope it helps. If you have all ready seen this page I am sorry to be unuseful.
