I just bought an iPod and installed iTunes for it, but iTunes just won't work for me. When i doubleclick on the iTunes icon to run it, there is a popup saying that the iTunes folder cannot be created. It says the default folder is the "Music" folder, and i'm guessing that my default Music folder on Vista is screwed up, somehow. I need some serious help here, or i can't upload songs to my new iPod. Please, anyone.. here's the screenshot of the error..

So it will not load iTunes at all despite the error message? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes?

Yes i did try. I have found the root of the problem. It is to do with Vista's default Music folder. I seem to have messed that folder up and deleted it or something, hence i could not save my iTunes stuff in there. I ended up creating a new user account on my laptop, and it has all the original default folders, so i tried running iTunes on that account. It works, but it's just troublesome i have to switch to that user account to upload music to my iPod.

So, i am wondering if there's any way to restore my default folders that come with Vista.? anyone know?
