hi, firstly would just like to say hello and say what a great site this seems to be. have been trawling the internet to find a solution to the virus on my sisters laptop and have been recommended this website re hijackthis logs. have read the preparation guide which is fantastic even for a computer idiot like me! just need to ask some questions before I do the suggested preparation:-

the laptop runs windows 2000 Professional with service pack 4 will ad-aware, spybot panda anti virus etc run ok with this? I also have to download and save the program from my computer on to a memory stick and then load it on to the laptop - is this ok to do?

thanks for your help.
