Hi, I have a Dell XPS 600 system (about 2 and a half years old), which a while ago I had to completely format and reinstall XP (a freind did it actually), and I have recently noticed that my TEAC USB flash card reader is not working at all. When I put a card in the little green light doesn't come on. Its definately plugged in but I have been through my enitire hardware list and its simply not there, as far as I know. Any ideas on how to get it working?
Hi endofaugust, welcome to BC. Unplug the card reader first. Go here, download and install the driver from Dell. Follow the install prompts. When complete, plug the card reader back in. Let us know how you come out.
Ok drivers installed (after unplugging). Plugged in. Reboot. No joy. No extra drives show in my computer. No hardware in controlpanel\system\hardware. No light when card inserted. Its dead to the world!
Maybe the hardware is faulty but it shouldn't be as it was all working before I had to wipe my system.
