Honestly I'm not exactly sure how my computer got infected as I lent it to a friend while I was out of town for a week. When I got back I had this red circle with an x that pops up in the lower right hand corner and says I have a spyware infection and suggests that I download something to get rid of it. I didn't trust the website it brought me to so I downloaded Ad-Aware, Spybot Search & destroy, and McAfee. When I ran Ad-Aware it found 10 problem files but when I selected delete the program had an error and stopped working, Spybot had a similar issues and McAfee couldn't be installed fully. Maybe that's a symptom of the virus?

Sorry I can't be more specific!!

Many thanks.

One other thing, when I ran Ad-Aware i saw that one of the files was in c:\program files\uqbjlwd and the other was in c:\System Volume Information\_restore (E79AE979-DA0745...(it was too long for me to write down). When i tried to delete these manually a pop up told me I couldn't because they were either protected or currently in use.
