My boyfriend's computer crashed and he didn't have Windows XP Home CD. I had XP Pro Corp. and installed it for him. He is too confused by all the extra stuff so I need to install XP Home instead. I will have to do a clean install right? And how do I backup all his recently re-installed programs so he won't have to reinstall them again?

BTW is there a big difference between the way Home and Pro look and act? Is corporate version different than plain Pro?

Thanks.

If these applications were downloaded and he saved the setup portion of the download you can transfer those to a flash drive or burn them to CDs or DVDs. If he has the CDs, use them.

Yes, you will need to do a fresh install. Don't forget you will have to active XP afterwards.

You can read about the differences between XP Home and Professional here. The difference between Pro and Corporate is that the Corporate version has a volume use license.
