I'm not sure if anyone can help me, got a problem thats driving me crazy. When i switched on my computer last week it opened as 640x480 screen and now i can't change it back. When i go to Adjust Display Properties it gives me the option of changing and once i select another resolution it tells me i need to restart for the settings to be applied. When i restart tho, nothing has changed. Also the sound doesn't seem to be working all the time.
it was infected with some spyware which i thought might have something to do with it, but now the computers completely clean. The drivers are apparently the most up to date too...not sure which direction to take. Its a dell Inspiron 3700 with Rage Mobility Mach64 and uses Me...any suggestions would really be appreciated, seeing everything so large is kinda getting boring!

Delete the video card from device manager and reboot...let it autodetect and install the drivers back and see if that helps . Before you do that, make you sure have the latest video driver for ME downloaded and extracted into a directory on your c: drive in case you need to access it.
