The newest version of Open Office is now available for download. Because of the demand, most of the OO.o site has been taken down to allow for increased bandwidth for those wishing to download it.

You can download it at OpenOffice.org's site or at Downloads. com:

Has anyone had any problems with it? Updated it and keep having problems with writer. I have MS Doc files that I use to type up notes from my further education. If I use Word to open it, all is fine and no complaints. If I use writer, I can use it for a certain amount of time and then it just stops working. As if it tries to save the work or something. I leave it for 5 or 10 minutes, nothing happens. Keep having to kill it and work done is lost . Not happy. Should ve stayed with version 2, never had issues with that one.
