Quick question for everyone: Should i install Windows Xp service pack 3 (SP3)?

My automatic updates keep asking me to install it, but I'm hesitant to do so for fear of problems like others have had.
So if anyone has any information, or could help me out that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

If you've got an HP with an AMD processor - I'd suggest making sure you've got the HP patch before doing it.
Beyond that, I'd ensure that you update your drivers before installing any service pack - you never know when something essential has been released.

FWIW - I hosed my Vista laptop a couple of weeks back with SP1 - due to updates I hadn't gotten from the manufacturer.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
