Helping someone here.

She needs to download a quickbook file for her accountant. Its a dell computer.

She said she updated what she thought was the driver for the scandisk flashdrive.
now she puts the flashdrive into the usb and the light comes on, she tries to upload
this important file and the computer brings up a prompt saying "invalid path."

Any ideas or troubleshooting?

Thanks a bunch in advance for any help given.

Is the file on the flashdrive and she's trying to pull it off onto the other computer or trying to put the file on the drive? Is it the actual file or a shortcut? Cuz if you put a shortcut on a thumbdrive and put it on a different computer the path wouldn't be there.

Actually, I believe the flashdrive is blank. The computer recognizes the hardware, when she goes to download the quickbooks file
onto the flashdrive. she gets the invalid path prompt. Does this need to be reformatted or any other ideas for me? Thanks!

How is she transferring the files? Clicking and dragging?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

It would help to know how she is trying to transfer the files.

The flash drive should already be formatted with FAT32 file system, and should be ready to go.

Hi..this issue is resolved! Turns out, the drivers needed to be updated AND the old computer could not
handle the flashdrive and 2 printers plugged into it. So, a usb hub was suggested and all is fine.
Thanks everyone for all your help. Greatly appreciated!!
