Hi,

Not sure if this is posted in the right place. I have owned my Compaq presario PC SR5550f for about a month. It has windows vista. Tonight when I shut down, restart I had problems with a long shutdown time, then when it restarted it would not come up. Then a screen popped up said checking for problems, this will take a few minutes, then after about 15 minutes, it said we recommend you click here to restore.
I did that. It took a real long time to finally start up again. Now my system runs very slow, and the light under the power button, does not stop blinking?
I have run a number of virus programs and nothing is found. My system had been slow for the past few days...perhaps it was blinking then and I did not see it?

Any advice? Please help. Its like something is running...
I just bought this new system, after loosing my hard drive on my last PC one month ago.

Thanks, hope to hear back soon.

If you look in your user's manual you should be able to see what this LED represents. If it is your hard drive I would suggest that you take it back to the place that you purchased it and have them sort it out under warranty.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
