AOL KEEPS REAPPEARING IN STARTUP

I KEEP USING MSCONFIG TO UNCHECK AOL PROGRAMS IN START UP BUT NEXT TIME THEY ARE BACK
AGAIN-OBVIOUSLY ANOTHER PROGRAM KEEPS PUTTING AOL (WAOL.EXE) BACK IN STARTUP-
HOW DO I GET RID OF THIS ANNOYANCE BEWCAUSE UNCECKING THE AOL STARTUP ENTRY IS NOT WORKING

Do you use AOL? I would recommend scanning for viruses this little guy may be spyware. you may want to move this to the Am I Infected?What do I do? section.Also Check this out: WAOL.EXE

As a side note, msconfig is a tool for testing purposes, not to permanently disable items.
you're better off to use Autoruns or Codestuff Starter for that
