Hi there,

It seems like you have installed messenger plus before with the sponsored pack, so now we are going to deal with the leftovers.

*Hijackthis is still in your temp-folder, so I strongly advise to create a permanent folder and move hijackthis.exe into it. The reason is because hijackthis creates backups and when it's in your temp-folder it can be accidentally deleted.
How do you make a permanent folder:

Click My Computer, then C:\ and then on Program Files.
In the menu bar, File->New->Folder.
That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis".
Now you have C:\Program Files\HijackThis. Put your HijackThis.exe there.

* Please set your system to show all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.kkndjhqusms.com/IsDRkaI9mSatP51...k8lt7OaJxv7.php
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {1FFDCC66-FBCB-6F0B-B20D-FF79E6CD5DE0} - C:\DOCUME~1\BRADWO~1\APPLIC~1\MFCD1R~1\City Close.exe
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {443E39C0-6615-6B53-E434-E49F2218C52C} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5C8B2A36-3DB1-42A4-A3CB-D426709BBFEB} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Long Glue Flap Aim] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ClockDefaultLongGlue\bows platform.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ace base hold burn] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Dale mpeg ace base\purelite.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Blue Cast] C:\DOCUME~1\BRADWO~1\APPLIC~1\BARBSK~1\data 64 rule.exe

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

* Reboot into Safe Mode`:
°To get into the Safe mode as the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key". Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.

* Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them if still present:

C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\BRADWO..\APPLICATION DATA\MFCD1R.. <== this folder (starts with these letters)
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ClockDefaultLongGlue <== this folder
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Dale mpeg ace base <== this folder
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\BRADWO..\APPLICATION DATA\BARBSK.. <== this folder, starts with these letters.

* Reboot your system back to normal mode.

* Open notepad and copy and paste next in it:

dir %Windir%\tasks /a h > files.txt
notepad files.txt

Save this as findjobs.bat , choose to save it as *all files and place it on your desktop.
Doubleclick on op findjobs.bat and post the content of the txtfile you get in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.

Hello,

That hijackthislog looks clean again. Toolbars gone now?

Now some leftovers:

* Open notepad and copy and paste next content in it:

%systemdrive%
cd %WinDir%\Tasks
attrib -r -s -h ACDB071790F0BF63.job
del ACDB071790F0BF63.job
attrib -r -s -h AF00575D9187C901.job
del AF00575D9187C901.job

Save this as remjobs.bat , choose to save as *all files and place it on your desktop.
Doubleclick on remjobs.bat. A doswindow will open and close again, this is normal.

Afterwards, doubleclick on findjobs.bat again and paste the content of the txtfile you get in your next reply.

That log looks clean again too.

No, you don't really have to worry about those tracking cookies.You'll get them when you visit certain sites.
And yes, you can undo those settings again and make those folders and files invisible again.
You don't need those bat-files either, so you can delete them.

To keep this clean in the future, I would suggest the following things:

Install Spywareblaster
SpywareBlaster doesn`t scan and clean for so-called spyware, but prevents it from being installed in the first place. It blocks the popular spyware ActiveX controls, and also prevents the installation of any of them via a webpage.

Let your antispywarescanner(s) scan frequently and don't forget to update before.

And I do suggest you perform an online virusscan once in a while. (housecall and/or Bitdefender). Because what one virusscanner can't find another one maybe can.
Also make sure that your virusscanner, the one that is installed on your system is always up to date!

Make sure your windows has the latest updates: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

More info on how to prevent malware you can also find here (By Tony Klein)
