Windows Internet Explorer Configurations

I used to use Firefox as my main browser, but have problems, . . .

My I.E. was recently updated I believe through Windows, to V.7,

It has not been operating correctly,, it will not retain the history although it is set to keep it for 5 days.

Also the browser back and forward toggle does not always work, no continuity.

I have been having, IRLQ, and Bad POOL Caller, BSOD's, and realize it is time to eliminate some hardware issues, but I am not sure what the I.E. problem is.

I was correct regarding Hardware issues therefore, I'll be responding to PC malfnctions after a more thurough examination, thank you all kindly for your time and effots.
