As stated in Combofix's disclaimer, this is why it is recommended to run the app. under the guidance of a HJT team member. The people it this particular forum have no experience dealing with those type of problems. I will move you to the correct one

I can also confirm this behavior in ComboFix, after running it, the <TAB> button in cmd.exe stops working and CodePage is changed to 1250.
To resolve the CodePage issue, you can change it under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Console\CodePage but still, ComboFix should check if the value is a sane numeral (16 bits at most, and not null/zero) and not missing. If missing, replace it, else, don't touch it.
As for the tab button, CompletionChar should always be "9" in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor\CompletionChar
ComboFix should replace it with "9".

For the <TAB> completion issue in cmd.exe, sUBs created this registry fix which can be downloaded and used: cmd_tab_completion.zip

CAUTION: This solution involves making changes in the registry. Always Create a New Restore Point and back up your registry before making any changes[/i]. Vista/Windows 7 users can refer to these instructions. If you're not familiar with working in the registry, then you should NOT attempt to make any changes on your own. Improper changes to the registry could adversely affect your computer and render it inoperable. ERUNT is an excellent free tool that allows you to to take a snapshot (backup) of your registry before making changes and restore it when needed.
