Hi..I have a desktop upstairs connected to A linksys router. We have comcast.
The p/c does not have a pci wireless card. the printer is connected to this unit.

The notebook downstairs is wireless and I am trying to set up so both computers can use the printer.
Can someone help me asap?

Thanks!

Open Printers and Faxes.

You should be able to right-click on that printer, on the main computer, and select Sharing.

Call it whatever you like.

Then, select "Share this printer" and also select List in Directory.

Both of the computers should be members of the same workgroup or domain.

Right click My Computer, Left-click Properties, then Computer Name Tab, in order to see the workgroup name.

Now go to the other computer and try to install the printer as a "network printer" or a "printer attached to another computer".

Try that and see what that brings you. I hope my directions are not too confusing.

Good luck

DR
