First: Thank you all for even just looking at this.

After a hijacking by several problems; here are just a few:

popuper.exe
TROJ_RANCK.E
WORM_POEBOT.F

I have restored the system to almost normal working order, but:

-I cannot download any files through IE.
-I cannot upload any files to websites.
-I am not able to open attachments in my e-mail.
-The mouse right click does not function in IE but works fine in other programs.
-Java supported downloads (i.e. Java, MSN Messenger 7.0) work fine.

I am not in possession of the support disks and my tech guy is gone for a golf weekend. Someone suggested downloading a copy of IE from Microsoft but....I can't download anything....

This is driving me nuts as well as the fact fact that I have pressing issues to deal with in the attachments I'm not able to open.

Any ideas?

Thanks again,

Tigre

My guess is you still have malware on your computer that your friend has not been able to remove. I would continue with the log we were working on.
