I ran Combo Fix per the advice of a computer tech I know. The log came up and I minimized it to come find the next step and I no longer have a tool bar or desk top. What do I do now?

How do I fix this?

Please note the message text in blue at the top of this forum.

You should not be using Combofix unless instructed to do so by a Malware Removal Expert who can interpret the logs. It is a powerful tool intended by its creator to be "used under the guidance and supervision of an expert", NOT for private use. Using this tool incorrectly could lead to disastrous problems with your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again. Please read Combofix's Disclaimer.

Combofix will temporarily disable your desktop, and if interrupted may leave it disabled. If this occurs, please reboot to restore it.

If that does not resolve the issue, then try using System Restore or System Restore from a command prompt in Safe Mode to return to a previous state.

I read the note and the note on the page we downloaded from. I assumed that since she owns her own repair shop and runs this type of program often, she would be qualified.

I rebooted but no longer have 'the log' anymore, what do I do now or where do I go to ask?

Thanks.

What problems are you still continuing to have?

For that matter what issues were you having which required using ComboFix in the first place?
