Program is called Kismet 2007-10-R1 for Windows.
I'm not sure if I installed this myself or it came with my computer. Do I need it?

It's a wireless network sniffer. Are you on a wireless network?

At the moment no, but I'm guessing if I did want to use wireless capabilities, I would need this huh?

I'm not on a wireless network so I wouldn't know. I just Googled it and that's what it is.
