My computer has IE-6 and Firefox. I started seeing unwanted pop-ups yesterday. Then some unwanted windows started opening up. My microsoft automatic update was turned off and I can't turn it on except sporadically. The setting of the cookies on IE keeps on going down to the lowest level (accept all cookies). Adaware couldn't update and Symantec corporate edition didn't detect anything yesterday both in normal and safe mode. I turned the IE privacy level to high and was able to update Symantec today (I was not able to even do that yesterday) and finally it detected Trojan.awax and removed it. However the pop up and webpages kept on coming telling me that my computer will crash and I need to click on them. I removed the Adaware and tried to downlaod te latest version but I couldn't. I tried Spyware guard and it kept on showing multiple BPO's or something and inspite of removing many of them they kept on popping. I closed the program and now I can't even turn it on. I tried Vundofix and removed couple of risks and then tried Virtual mundo (all after reading blogs, I am computer illetrate) which showed a clean scan. I tried Vundofix and the scan was clean this time. This is my VBG notepad:

Hello sum73,

I apologise for the delay the forum is busy.

If you still need help, post a new HijackThis log, following my instructions below.
----------------------------------------------
RENAME HIJACKTHIS

There is some infection hiding in your log.

Using Windows Explore by right-clicking the Start button and left clicking Explore navigate to: C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe

Right-click on HijackThis.exe & select Rename to scanner.exe and post back a new Hijackthis log.
