Hi just re formated and reloaded w98se and all is well fingers crossed but under Device Manger ; other devices I ve got yell question mark and " PCI Communication Device Error 28 " so whats this about and whats the fix ! ?

I tryed to get a new driver from my w98se disc and got nothing so what now; i have no clue its very annoying - Thanks . . .

If the driver is native to W98 then you should try uninstalling the driver in the Device Manager, restart the computer and let the installation wizard find the proper driver for it.

Hi yes i deleted and then let the d/l wizard try to fix it but it couldn t find the bloody driver so what now hopefully i can find the right one and d/l it for free in no hurry to pay for one, hate that - bye need help . . .

Ok this pc was made for me by a friend that error as poofed for now but may return, Its AMD / 512 ram / 40 gigs / 1800 mhz and i e 6.0, so what now before the yellow ? mark returns ! ? byee for now . . .

Ok this error has Popped in with a Yellow ? mark so what now any ideas - sheech - thanks . .

" Due to hub transfer request hike, a hub has been Disabled. Check your computers cabling and devices then re start ". So whats that about, whats a hub i am clue less - byee . . .

Please let's keep everything in one thread to prevent confusion.

This is more than likely all related to missing drivers after you reformatted. Since this is a custom built unit, we have to dig a little deeper.
We need to know the make and model of the motherboard and, if separate, the network card.
Do you have a USB hub connected?

Hi i am here i have 4 usb ports and i added 1 usb 2.0 port onto the slot which i just removed and am re installing see if thats a fix for my external DvD burner R/W . I have no idea what a hub is i am clue less; hope this is what you need - bye still here . . .

Ok ty so much i do need the help, just double checking i am not downloading the 1st file only the next five, i see some are for w2000 but i am using w98se i guess it doesn t matter and when these open up i guess they delete the older files as the newer ones re place them, never did this before don t want any mistakes - still hanging - thanks a bunch and i hope the drivers are free : )) . . .

Or do i have to drag to or use some weird save to for the right driver to the the right folder and what goes where i am clueless and what happens to the old drivers - hangin out and waiting byee . . .

Ok i ve got those three folders on my desk top but i go to un zip them and all i get is 30/40 files per folder before me yikes so what now i don t see that one special file that i should
un zip so what now and which folders should they be going to so i can take a peek after would - byeee still hanging - why is nothing ever easy . . .
