I was experiencing some slow responses and performance with my pc and internet. Would go to pages and it would take a long time to load yet going to the same webpages on my laptop (through the same router) was no problem. I ran a couple of spyware programs (Spybot and AVG) and some items were found but nothing major (I assume). Performance remained the same. I then downloaded and ran STOPzilla. It also find things and removed them. No improvement. I then ran ComboFix and the PC performance appears to be better but now I cannot connect to the internet. It's not he modem or router as I'm on my laptop now.

I get an icon/message for the network connector that there is Low or No Connectivity and I cannot get onto the internet. I've uninstalled the connector and it re-installs when I restart but still the same issue. I've turned off anti-virus and firewall programs and still no connection. Even within the network connector, I click on repair and get a message saying that Windows cannot repair it.

What else can I do/try to get this corrected?

Please note the message text in blue at the top of this forum.

You should not be using Combofix unless instructed to do so by a Malware Removal Expert who can interpret the logs. It is a powerful tool intended by its creator to be "used under the guidance and supervision of an expert", NOT for private use. Using this tool incorrectly could lead to disastrous problems with your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again. Please read Combofix's Disclaimer.

Combofix disconnects the computer from the Internet as part of its routine. If you did not disconnect, you may loose your connection. The connection is automatically restored before ComboFix completes its run. However, if ComboFix runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be restored by restarting your machine.

If rebooting did not restore your Internet connection, then follow the instructions for Manually restoring the Internet connection.
