XP sp3.. windows firewall got turned off somehow...went to turn on but it is greyed out..it mentions "group policy" can't figure it out!!!katesdad

Are you logged in with sufficient privileges? Do others log on to this machine? Have you rebooted since the update?

their are no messages ..XP Pro is what i run.. the problem is , i can't start my firewall because it is greyed out...i don't know how it got turned off and then greyed out...at the top of the windows firewall it says "for your security some settings are controlled by Group Policy" katesdad....
