Hello toffeymen23,

That could be a few things at this time. Just to rule out the possibility of malware, follow the instructions at
http://www.symantec.com/security_response/...-081119-5051-99

What security products are installed?
Regards,

Alan.

Did you use the tool in the link?

Also the event viewer may give some more information.

1. Click Start select run
2. Type eventvwr.exe
3. Press enter
4. Search through the groups for errors and warnings.
5. Double click on each error and or warning.
6. Locate the copy to clipboard button, Posted Image (under the two arrows)
7. Let us know what you find. (paste the results)
Regards,

Alan.

This is a workaround - NOT a solution...

Create a shortcut on your desktop by right clicking on the Desktop and selecting New...Shortcut.
For the first box (location of the item), type in "shutdown.exe /a" (without the quotes) and click on next.
In the next window just accept what's there by clicking Finish.

The next time you get the shutdown dialog, double click on the shortcut to stop the shutdown (shutdown.exe /a is the command to abort the shutdown).

To fix this problem, follow the advice that the others here have given you.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
