Well, most recently I have acquired something rather annoying. My Browser, or online games continually loose connectivity. I am randomly able to get to a web page, but will loose the connection to my network in a relatively short amount of Time, I will then need to disable the network card, re enable and try again. Usually takes a few seconds and I am off line again. An IP repair has not fixed it, an ipconfig flushdns, /registerDNS, /release /renew... a tcpip stack flush has not fixed it. nor checking the host file.
This is currently the only system on my network experiencing it currently.
/DisplayDNS has been showing tons of DNS entries the interesting ones being the gtld servers, which are DNS Root servers from what I understand. Does this sound like a DOS Attack? Am I being used to Bot others? Next question would be how do I diagnose this issue, and what can I do about it? And do we have a step by step how to anywhere on setting up a Honey Pot type IDS?
