to delete an account in oe

as to opening 'spoof' emails ; why open or even download anything you do not recognise?

Because I get emails from ebay that are not spoofs, and until you open the email you can't tell that it is a spoof. what gives it away is that the spoofs always ask that you "click the link below to update your account info". Which I never do.
So it's not a matter of opening emails from someone I don't know. The headers on the spoofs are forged and the subject line doesn't say anything about updating anything, it usually says stuff like "listing sale" or it will appear to be from an ebay member with a question about something you're selling.

I still don't get what you're saying about deleting the email account. I know how to log into my hotmail account and close the account that way, is that what you mean? Or are you saying to delete it off my computer? That I don't know how to do.
I don't get what you are telling me to do here: "OE/tools/accounts/mail/select appropriate account adddy/find the remove tab on the right and click on it;" I guess the "OE" part is what I don't get, what is "OE"?
Sorry.
Thanks for the help though!
