Hello. I had a lot of viruses on my system which have all been cleared up. However I am now unable to use my printer.

I have tried to reinstall the printer...

I get a message saying the RPC server is unavailable

When I try to go to Start
Run
and go into print spooler to restart it say I can't b/c

"The system cannot find the file it specified"

Thanks in advance.

The printer is a HP Deskjet F2110

{Mod bump..}

To any advisor and I may be incorrect, but isn't there an uninstall reinstall trick to fix this. I remeber once it was something to that effect ,without using a disk.

Did you check services if the spool server and rpc and all their dependencies were enabled to automatic?

I followed the instructions on the link
Spoolsv.exe was not on my machine.

It is set to Automatic, but when I press start I get an error:

"Error 2: System file cannot find file specified."

Thanks for your help.

Go start-run-type SFC /SCANNOW to run system file checker. Note space between C and /.
You will probably need your xp cd.
