My question is does anyone know of any good program that is cheap or FREE and you can make a layout for a building on a program? It would be a big bonus to me if they had a link to download it there website.

You can try this visio trial. It may support this:

If you mean floorplan, I found this, which is a free 30 day trial, that seems pretty professional ( I have not used it myself so I cannot confirm this):

If push comes to shove, you can always use a spreadsheet to make a simple floor plan by making the cells square and using the outline feature.

Cheers,
John

I have seen this program mentioned in another forum which states it is 'excellent value for money'. FloorPlan 3D Design Suite 9 at:

Different software from the floorplan John mentions which is more expensive if buying but as I have not used either I cannot make comparisons.
