I own a compaq presario v3000 laptop with AMD insides and vista home basic. And I have been noticing that my computer is getting extremely hot. In the lower left hand side and the touch screen. I was wondering how do I fix this? I currently have bios f39 hoping that would work but it doesnt. Would anyone be able to give me the specific link to download the f21 version my computer wasnt as hot when i was running that file. Any help is greatly appreciated.

ps not sure i posted this in the right area

Hi gabi194, and welcome to BleepingComputer.

I'm not sure I fully understand what your problem is other than the computer getting very warm to touch.

The heat could be caused by a build up of dust inside the laptop, try blowing canned air through the vents to blow out the dust. Proper ventilation underneath the laptop is important as well, laying it on a surface which can restrict the vents will also add to this problem.

Did you flash the BIOS, and was it successful?
