i already have 40 GB harddisk nw i purchased 80 GB seagate harddrive . My 40 GB hard disk is partitioned into three drives. I need to make it a single partition and divide my 80GB new hardisk into three partitions .In 40 GB i need to install windows service pack 3.can nyone tell me the procedure of all this...??

Depending on the make and model of your computer one of those partitions may be a recovery partition, you don't want to delete this partition.

Why do you wish to delete the other two partitions? Why do you need three partitions on the new hdd?
