My computer was recently infected with some Spyware (Adware). I removed some, however my computer is still not 100%. Search engines will not search topics and certain website (like bleepingcomputer.com) will not open.

Please find below my HiJackTHis log. Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

Thanks!

Hi

Please Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here :-

http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Ant...ware_d5756.html

or here :-

http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

* Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
* The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.
* The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
* Copy and Paste the entire report in your next reply.

THEN ...

Please follow these directions to run Combofix & post a log.

I have completed step 1 from above. The web pages are working normally now. One issue that I am having, is that I get the following message upon start-up

Error loading: I:\WINDOWS\system32\mbujxyum.dll
The specific module could not be found.

If I click OK - the computer freezes.

Here is my mbam log. I am going to do the combofix now.

The error above re Error loading: I:\WINDOWS\system32\mbujxyum.dll only happened the first time. Everything appears to be running normally. Is it necessary to do the combofix?

Hi Craig

It is very likely that Combofix will find malware which MBAM missed, but if you're happy ,that's your decision, I recommend running Combofix as well

I would also like to see a new hijackthis log ...

Hi

your hijackthis log is clean now

You are running an out-of-date version of java

Go to add/remove programs and uninstall any earlier versions ... in your case :-

jre1.6.0_03

Then You can go here and install the latest version of Java.

http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

Scroll down the page to 'Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 7' and press the 'Download' button.

Running an out-of-date version of java is an infection risk, as they can be exploited by malware.
